Blissfully happy

Today when I got home from work I got to participate in a little scavenger hunt for my anniversary&birthday present. I'm the proud new owner of a Nikon D80 digital SLR camera. It's totally flippin awesome!! So I've been fiddling this evening.....trying to figure out how to use it. So far I'm as impressed as I thought I would be. Now I just need adobe photoshop to finesse my photos! Maybe I can get that for Aaron for his birthday?? Not really- he already has a computer on its way here for his anniversary/birthday present. Chloe and I also went and enjoyed one of those thin mint blizzards at DQ this evenin-we gave in to peer pressure. :)

Enjoy the new camera! Did you get a lens/kit with it?? I went for the 18-200 vr this time around...and haven't found a reason to take it off...yet!

Congratulations!!! Now maybe you two can help me out with Photoshop Elements and give tips on my D70 as you become experts with your D80's! I'm probably ancient compared to you guys! :) Haven't really looked to see what the differences/similarities are... Enjoy your camera!!!!!!

I'm using the 2 lens I already had for my film camera. A 70-300 and 28-80. So far I love both of them on it. Maybe at some point I'll have to get some creative ones....a fisheye maybe?

Congratulations... sounds like you married the right man! ;) I'm so lucky those mint blizzards hold no appeal to me whatsoever. Lookin' forward to Kekoa's potty training being over, though, so we can head back to DQ for a party to celebrate! If no accidents by the end of today, that's only four days away!!!
