Chloe and I were supposed to go to Gramma and Grampa's for the weekend....but we got 1/3 of the way there and oil light kept coming on in the car so we figured we'd better turn around. Aaron met up with us and we left the saab at the shop. Then Chloe and I were stuck in the house all weekend without a car while Aaron worked. Guess it wasn't so bad anyway since we got MORE snow. This weather is really getting me down....and I'm trying so hard to stay cheerful! Spent the weekend in our PJs... (well except for meeting this morning) and accomplished very little. We did nap together! I can't wait for Mum and Ben to come out next month for a whole week.....(please let the weather and seat availability on the plane cooperate!)
On another note....any ideas on how to get Chloe to sleep all night? Lately it's been 2 times a night she wakes up and expects to nurse. And here I was hoping I could wean her soon?! At least the 2nd time sometimes coincides with my alarm about to go off at 515 anyway. But weekend nights it sure would be nice to sleep!

Hang in there! March is right around the corner!
As far as the night wakenings...with K, I made him wait 5 minutes before I'd go to him. Then, extended that a couple more minutes each night. It didn't take him but 2 or 3 nights and he was putting himself back to sleep without crying for me. With A, we did the same thing, but at 12 or 13 months of age. Worked again. It's hard to listen to them cry, but I figured 5 minutes wasn't going to hurt them. Good luck! I waited longer than I'd have had to with A, but I wanted it that way. :) The continuous night sleep is very nice now, though!!
Every kid is different. Kekoa was easy... slept through the night and weaned himself. Gavyn? That kid has broken every rule Kekoa has set. I think he was waking up in the middle of the night because he was hungry... not getting enough from me. He refused to try to drink out of a cup or a bottle... would only breastfeed, so eventually my doctor told me I was going to have to wean him. I wanted to do it gradually, but he's a stubborn little guy and so I had to go cold turkey. Once he was weaned and mastered the sippy cup - a pleasant week, let me tell ya - he started sleeping through the night. I weaned both at 12 months. With Kekoa (remember, he self weaned), I cried when breastfeeding ended. With Gavyn, I celebrated. ;)
