renaissance fest

So last week I worked 7a-7p Wednesday, Thursday and Friday....and Aaron and I have pretty much decided that doesn't work for either of our sanity. I was utterly exhausted Friday night....to put it mildly.....which usually makes me crabby.

Thank goodness Chad, Jill and Ben came for the weekend to get us out of the house and having fun. Saturday we went to the Renaissance Festival....wicked fun people watching.....and we saw the Highland Games.....big strong manly men throwing really heavy objects as far as they could. ROAR. Ben rode the ponies....and we wandered around for most of the day taking it in. Highlights? "A bill for a dill"...."chicken on a stick".....the "vegetable justice" booth....lots of men in kilts! And we sang happy birthday to Aaron on Sunday....28 years old! Ben and I were the only ones to sing... :)

This turtle had a sign on her kilt that said "want to see what's under my kilt?". Some little girl was dying to find out....the lady finally convinced her to look....there was a smily face sticker stuck to her shell....then the lady said to the girl "Now don't be lifting anybody else's kilt today"
:)

Chloe chillin in the stroller....watching all the excitement

Happy Birthday Honey!! (he didn't want any candles)
