It's getting close to the end of summer so trips like this will unfortunately have to come to an end shortly. Jami and the kids took a trip out to Oxbow Park/Zoo where they have local animals you can see up close. It's kinda small but fun for the kids. They have some animals you can pet and feed grass to but for some reason they haven't allowed the kids to pet and feed the bear or bobcat.
Unfortunately we don't go here as often as we should and we'll miss going here during the winter. Also, this post is more just to get some pictures out there for those who really just want to look at pictures. BUT...I do intend to get some other posts going at some point that don't necessarily include the kids. After all it's not just about the kids. Okay yes it is but at any rate I'll be trying to think of something else to blog about occasionally and your input would be appreciated! Ideas anyone?

Love that zoo! Glad we got to visit when we were up there to visit. I'd love to hear your thoughts on fatherhood from a "stay-at-home dad" perspective. Maybe I can convince Craig to have one more when he retires in three years... so please put a good spin on it. Ok?
That park is GREAT!! You can take us there again anytime! Our three little animals will blend right in, as always. :)
Oh, as for suggestions...hmmm...life's experiences, whether life before retirement, a day in the life of an SAHD (stay-at-home-dad), great recipes you've made, your artistic abilities...the possibilities are endless! We'll read whatever you post on here...so be sure you want us to read it before you hit the "publish post" button! :) :) :)
Who what or how do they come up with the word verification things...i.e. in order for me to post this question I have to type in "hitti"
POST IDEAS: If we ask you a question you have to "research" and "report" on the question. But it could all be Balderdash :) You could generate the questions, just as well, I'm sure you have some zingers!
