This is Chloe and a co-worker's (from when I worked on the floor) daughter, Isabella. It's several weeks old but I couldn't find any other recent pictures. We met at the little kids indoor gym here in town. They're both munching on cranberries.... :)
Random tidbits of the updating nature:
-Gramma & Grampa S came to visit last weekend.
-Grampa and Aaron installed a new toilet in our upstairs bathroom....no more jiggling the handle to make sure it won't run forever!
-Aaron and I got to go on a date 2 weekends in a row....WHOA.
-Chloe continued her attention grabbing holler that she started in VA a few weeks ago with gramma S this past weekend.... "MAM-MAW!" hollered randomly at the top of her lungs to get Gramma's attention.
-Chloe got a new purse (thank you gramma!) and a new bible to take to meeting that she is oh-so-proud of....sings from it like it's her hymn book.
-I'm still waiting to hear from Winona state about grad school this fall....can't remember the last time I was this excited to check the mail box every day.
-I was on call the past two weekends and my pager never went off...talk about earning easy money.
-We finally booked our hotel for our night in Tampa before the cruise departure next month...yay...can't wait!
-Aaron already filed our taxes and we've already received our state and federal refunds (yeah...miraculously we got money BACK!).....good thing he filed before the gov't decided they won't be able to pay everyone's refund! :) (And yeah...my husband's an over-achiever when it comes to money stuff)
And now a few things that have amused/irritated me lately:
-Driving into the parking ramp every afternoon for work and getting stink-eye looks from the cars leaving the ramp as they come careening around the corner at reckless speeds and nearly cream me as I'm hugging the bumpers of cars to my right driving around at a snail's pace. Don't look at me like that!! You're the one driving way too fast in the MIDDLE of the row instead of on your side. Sometimes I wish I had some sort of spit-ball device to launch projectiles at them from the rear of my car.
-Co-workers who leave before or by 530 every day who think that the late surgical tech and I sit around all evening doing nothing and getting paid for it. First of all, there's no way I could stay until 10 every night sitting around doing nothing. I would stab my eyeballs out from boredom.....and guess what!! There are a lot of nights we're actually running an OR until 8,9,10PM so that you dont' have to stay all night overtime! GEESH.....I can't stand people that think their opinion is ALWAYS right without any basis to stand on.
-I'm going to be an official charge nurse at work (since I work the late shift).....this amuses me because I only have 1 year of experience in surgery and that only puts me above like 2 or 3 other nurses in our section. It irritates me because the times I have been charge already, people assume because I'm new to surgery that means I"m a new/inexperienced/dumb nurse..... I have been in charge before, and I've been a nurse for nearly 5 years. Sigh....this should make things interesting in the shifts to come.
